Anum Tayyab

"One Drink"Poem by Anum TayyabPhotos by Imaan Khan

With every sip you took

It was as if you were about to tell

Another story

Another story about the time you were wasted

Fooled and wasted

And no matter how it went

You would always begin the tale

“One thing led to another, another sip could never hurt me,”

You walked in with broken glass

A bloody cast around your hand that signed help me

And it wasn’t the first time you were late

The late nights became late days

Those late days became late weeks

And weeks, become months

You trapped yourself in a world where you believed you didn’t need anyone else

When mom left your friend Wine came to town

And never left

I just wanted to talk to…

They say two is company and three is a crowd. Yet this old proverb doesn’t stand up to besties Jillian Shea Spaeder, Isabella Alexander, and Rachel Gage. While there are so many similarities shared, it is their differences which they celebrate and learn from. And happily, which keep them (most of the time) auditioning for different roles and projects. While each continues to dream of being in the entertainment world, today they share more on who they are, what makes them tick, and the goals they have inside and outside of Hollywood.

Landry Bender

ActressLos Angeles, CAStory & Photos by Lauri LevenfeldStyling by Grace Wethor

From the earliest age, Landry Bender was ready for the spotlight. Described as an old soul, she manifested her destiny on stage and at just ten years old was on a plane to New York with a role of a lifetime and an opportunity to fulfill her dreams. From this moment, Bender’s career has expanded with prize castings and what most would see as the perfect “Hollywood story”. Yet Landry is known by her fans as well as industry folk for being a kind and humble individual who celebrates her journey by staying passionate and engaged. A girl inspired (and a bit obsessed) with old Hollywood (in particular Audrey Hepburn), we asked another TPFG gal, Grace Wethor, to take the reins and bring her eclectic, cool vibe to this classic beauty to create some designer vintage magic.

Gabrielle Begun

We Are HereSan Francisco, CAPhotos by Lauri LevenfeldStory by Gabrielle Begun

I’m no politician. I don’t usually follow the news. But today, during our student/teacher led assembly, where we were supposed to discuss something that had happened a week ago, I got up along with 400 students and walked outside to have 17 minutes of silence for those who lost their lives in the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, followed by an emotional, empowering, and important student-led demonstration.

The day that the shooting happened, I didn’t have school, so I stumbled upon it while on Instagram. It was a disturbing video of teenagers running for their lives with their hands up in the air with the headline “School Shooting in Florida”. You want to know the first thing I felt? Absolutely nothing. It was at that moment that I realized that I had become so normalized with mass shootings and death in the U.S that I kept scrolling, and that scared me so much.

I felt nothing until one of my friends posted the video on her Instagram, and I suddenly woke up. I woke up to the videos of high schoolers crying in interviews because their friend had just been mercilessly murdered. I woke up to the screams and yells of kids my age, making it clear that it was far too late, and that something had to be done about guns…

Most people who know Ava August describe her as an old soul. make many take notice of this young teen and her talents.  With a near future EP release, August talks to TPFG about the process of songwriting, her inspirations and dreams. And via the strong, soulful voice we heard throughout the shoot, we can only imagine the magic journey that Ava August is about to begin. This is her story.
